Seven Ways to Improve Search Engine Optimization Ranking
Would you like to have an easy way to improve your chances of getting your lens, blog or website more visits? If you are frustrated by a lack of visitors then you need to look at ways to improve your SEO – search engine optimization techniques.
Whilst there is nothing here which is rocket science, it should become clear that these are well tested and tested ways to get good rankings which will remain in place for weeks, months or even years. Here are some factors that could help you: –
Factor # 1 Quality Content
If you are hiring that I am going to offer some clever way of fooling Google so that you get a number one position for your keywords then I am sorry but you need to look elsewhere. The first and most important factor in obtaining a good SEO ranking is quality content. Google and the other search engines are looking to give a good service to their customers. That means that searches are relevant and worthy of their ranking.
If your content is not well written and relevant to the search criteria then it does not deserve to have a first page ranking. Note that you can still have quality content and not get a good ranking. This can happen if you purchase an article for your site content that may be exactly the same as numerous other sites that have also purchased the same content. Search engines will rank you accordingly. So if you decide to buy other peoples articles you need to consider taking the content ideas within the article and then creating a new article using your own words.
Factor # 2 Have a title for your site which is relevant to the subject you are promoting
If your website, lens or blog is about learning to play piano in simple steps then make sure that this is reflected in your title. The search engine spiders will then know the relevancy of your site. No page title or one that does not accurately reflect your site content will have an adverse effect.
Factor # 3 Include your keyword phrase in your first fifty words.
Search engines will evaluate the relevancy of your site on the first fifty words or so. Make sure that you include our keyword phrase within this section which summarizes what your site is about. Bear in mind that the attention span of the most visitors to your site is very limited and if they do not find anything relevant to their search in the opening paragraph then they will be hitting the back button in the blink of an eye!
Factor # 4 Make sure that your keyword phrase occurs at least once in every 100 words in your text. (IE 1% minimum density)
Keyword stuffing is no longer a way to achieve a higher SEO ranking as the search engines are well aware of this technique. However you should aim to have a least a 1% to 4% density of your keyword phrase. Therefore you should aim to have a least one occurrence of your keyword phrase every 100 words.
Factor # 5 Link to get noticed by the search engines
You have just created a really good website, blog, lens or hub page and have adhered to all the above criteria and yet traffic is low or none existent. Bear in mind that if you do no more than create a web site it could take some time for the web spiders to find you. Some times it can take several weeks or months for it to be crawled. However if you link your lens or website to a blog then link your blog back to your website you will increase the chance of creating traffic. In fact you should link to as many different options as are available for maximum effect. Link to Twitter by tweeting that you have created a new lens, web page, blog etc. Then link to an ezine article. Then link your ezine article back to your blog, website, lens etc. You could also create a Hub Page and link that to your blog or website.
Factor # 6 Ping everything
Pinging is the way in which you inform the web spiders of your work and get them to crawl as soon as possible. Every time you create a lens, blog, article etc make sure you ping it. You can ping your content at pingomatic.com.
